Cleanprotec × buzz Storyboard v2

Cleanprotec — Main Commercial

The film rebuilt around your note: cleaning is step one, the protective layer is the story. Sixteen beats, about eighty-eight seconds. Every frame below is a live moving frame, so you can see the motion, not guess at it.

Before you review

These are storyboard frames, not the finished film. What we are asking you to approve is the order of the beats and what each beat says — the story, not the polish.

The frames run at draft quality and carry no on-screen type yet. Once you approve the order, we take every frame to final quality, lay the type and the voiceover in, grade it, and cut the film. Product labels, the logo and the end card are your own assets and stay exactly as they are.

Where a frame is different from the first cut, it carries a Changes note under it saying what moved and why. Frames with no note are unchanged. The dashed divider is drawn rough here; in the finished film it is a clean white line.

What changed after your feedback

Clean is no longer the ending

In the first cut the film finished when the truck was clean. Now the clean truck arrives at 0:21 and everything after it is about what is left behind on the paint.

The protective layer is now visible

Frame 07 is new: a transparent layer forms over the paintwork and dirt arrives and finds nothing to hold on to. This is the frame the film was missing.

Two new explainer graphics

The protection beat and the sustainability beat each get their own graphic, built in the same language as “Same dirt. Same water. Same moment.”, so the two ideas are stated as plainly as the opening one.

The layer is shown on the truck, not only in the abstract

Frame 08 is new: the bonded network built on the vehicle’s own surface in 3D macro, so the science lands on the product rather than on a texture.

Sustainability moved into the film

Frame 11 is new: what runs off the truck runs onto grass, not into a drain, with a graphic naming water, wastewater and CO₂.

The opening frame is re-centred

The truck now sits dead centre with the divider through the middle of it, the divider is white instead of red, and the two bottles hold either side of the line.

The split is one frame, not two

Frames 04 and 14 are a single 16:9 frame split down the middle — left half one shot, right half the other. Nothing is stretched or letterboxed to make it fit.

The next clean is now the payoff

Frame 14 returns to the split with one wipe on the treated half, and frame 15 is a new closing shot of the truck out on the road still holding its finish.

“Truck” became “vehicle”

In the closing voiceover line, as you asked on 1 September.

Length went up, not down

The first cut ran 0:50. With the protection and sustainability beats in, the film is 1:28 — inside the 60–90 second brief.

Angle and goal

The angle

One truck, one dividing line, one wash. Everything the film claims is proved on the same vehicle at the same moment, so there is nothing to take on trust. The cleaning wins the first twenty seconds; the layer that stays behind wins the rest.

What it has to do

Leave a fleet operator with one sentence they can repeat: it cleans, it protects, and every clean after this one is easier — and it does that on water. Then ask for a demo on their own fleet.

The frames

01Reworked
0:00–0:05

“Two panels, side by side. One treated with Cleanprotec, one not.”

ActionTruck parked dead centre, locked-off frame, filthy on both sides. The divider drops down the middle and the two bottles hold either side of it.
ChangesThe frame is re-centred on the truck — it sat off to one side before. The divider is now white instead of red. Your Standard Finish bottle sits on the treated side, an anonymous blurred bottle on the untreated side. The line of copy lands centre frame, over the grille.
02Graphic Same dirt. Same water. Same moment.
0:05–0:10

“Same dirt. Same water. Same moment.”

On screenSame dirt. Same water. Same moment.
ActionThree icons draw on one after another in time with the line. Brand teal on near-black.
03
0:10–0:15

“Watch the treated side.”

ActionBoth halves are washed at the same moment, one operator per side. The split holds through the shot so the comparison never breaks.
ChangesSame shot. The sentence now carries over into the next frame, so the word that matters lands on the split rather than here.
04Reworked
Treated
Untreated
0:15–0:21

“Nothing holds on to it.”

ActionMacro on the panel. The treated half lifts clean in a single pass and the gloss comes straight back. The same cloth on the untreated half only smears the dirt across the paint.
ChangesThe dent in the truck panel is gone from the left half — that half was re-generated. This is one 16:9 frame split down the middle, left half from one shot and right half from the other, not two frames cut together and not a stretched image.
05Rewritten
0:21–0:25

“And getting it clean is only step one.”

ActionPull back to the whole truck: left half clean and bright, right half still grey.
ChangesRewritten beat. In the first cut this was roughly where the film ended — clean truck, done. It is now the hinge: the line says out loud that clean is step one, and everything after it is about what stays on the paint.
06
0:25–0:30

“Cleanprotec cleans and protects in the same pass.”

On screenClean ’n Finish
ActionClose on the bottle in hand, product sprayed across the panel. Slight slow motion on the spray so the label sits still long enough to read.
07NewGraphic The dirt goes. The protection stays.
On the paint
0:30–0:37

“The dirt goes. The protection stays. A protective layer forms over the paintwork, and dirt has far less to hold on to.”

On screenThe dirt goes. The protection stays.
ActionThe graphic states it in the language of frame 02: dirt lifts away on the left, the bonded layer holds on the right. Then straight into the shot, where a transparent layer sweeps across the cleaned corner and dirt thrown at the panel finds nothing to hold on to.
ChangesNew beat, and a new graphic built to match frame 02. This is the frame the first cut was missing.
08New
0:37–0:43

“Because Cleanprotec isn’t a layer sitting on the paint. It’s a water-based silane network that bonds into the surface itself.”

Action3D macro on the vehicle’s own surface. Droplets land and sink in, then the bonded network lights up point by point across the panel and holds.
ChangesNew beat. The network is now shown on the truck’s own bodywork, not only as an abstract texture.
09
0:43–0:50

“At material level, the silanes don’t coat the surface. They bond into it, and build a network across it.”

ActionDeeper still. The surface is rough, not smooth. Droplets sink into it rather than pooling on top, short links grow out from each anchor point to its neighbours, and the network fades back out.

Wash bays
0:50–0:56

“Exteriors, interiors, screens, wash bays. On every material.”

ActionFour surfaces in a row, about a second and a half each, cut on the beat of the line. The word sits centre frame on each. Four separate frames, not a split.
11NewGraphic Less water. Less wastewater. Lower CO2.
Onto grass
0:56–1:02

“Fully water-based. Less water, less wastewater, and a lower CO₂ footprint.”

On screenLess water. Less wastewater. Lower CO₂.
ActionThe graphic carries the three claims, again in the frame 02 language. Then the proof shot: low angle at the wheel arch, and what runs off the truck runs straight onto grass, not into a drain.
ChangesNew beat, and a new graphic. Sustainability was a single passing line in the first cut; it now has its own graphic and its own shot.
12
1:02–1:06

“Nothing aggressive goes onto the truck, or onto your people.”

ActionA bare hand runs flat across the treated panel, no glove. Short beat, straight into the next line.
ChangesThe line dropped “or into the drain” — that idea now has a frame of its own above it.
13Re-shot
1:06–1:11

“A wax or a coating sits on top. This bonds into the surface itself.”

On screenStandard Finish
ActionStandard Finish sprayed onto the clean door. Held a beat longer than the first spray so the second product in the range registers.
ChangesRe-shot. The Standard Finish label now reads cleanly on screen.
14Re-shot
Treated
Untreated
1:11–1:18

“You won’t have to take our word for it. You’ll see it every time the vehicle gets dirty, because only half of it stays that way.”

ActionBack to the split from the top of the film. One wipe takes the treated half up to full gloss. The untreated half is still grey and streaked when the shot ends.
ChangesRe-shot — the treated half now comes up to real gloss under the cloth. One 16:9 frame split down the middle, same device as frame 04.
15New
1:18–1:23

“Cleanprotec cleans. Cleanprotec protects. Cleanprotec makes every clean after this one easier.”

On screenCleans. Protects. Makes the next clean easier.
ActionOut of the wash bay for the first time in the film: the truck on the road at speed, clean and holding its finish. Three short type beats land with the three lines.
ChangesNew closing shot. The first cut never left the wash bay.
